Introduction
Background
of the study

Queen Esther Beauty Pageant that can be extended in the future, Electronic
registration and voting is common in several aspects of our daily activities,
from academic registration to registering to participate for and examination or

based registration and voting methods done by a panel of judges. But rather,
for supplementing the existed paper based registration of contestants and
giving the audience an opportunity to be members of the panel of judges voting
for any of the contestant ICT.
Abstract
The
aim of the project is to develop a web-based management system that is able to
deliver access to anyone authorized anytime, anywhere, any place on any
computer device. The system developed makes use of rich internet technology to
replace manual registration process with internet application. At the end of
the project, a web based Beauty Pageant management system is developed. This
system enables users to view prospective beauty contestants and also enables
the system management administrator to manage data of each contestant
effectively within the web browser. In other words, the only requirements are
internet connection and a web browser.

of the Problem
In
most cases, computer programs are developed for handling daily routine tasks. But
registration and voting processes are not an everyday task.
However,
the volume of the work is massive and wide. The current system used by
organizer of Queen Esther Beauty Pageant is manual starting from the
registration process for the contestant, gathering information from forms which
includes personal detail (skills, age, name, height, photographs etc), till the
voting or scoring of the beauty contestants. It is complex and an error prone
task.

the Study
1. To
design a model that enables Queen Esther Beauty Pageant to keep track of their
contestant’s document as well as obtain documents from records and achieves.
2. To
evaluate the feasibility of using and developing/providing a centralized and
unified information management system that could be used to manage information
using the Internet as a common user platform.
3. To
investigate ways to improve the quality of data in order to streamline the
preparation, presentation and re-production of documents.
1.3. Scope
of the Study
The
scope of this project is developing a web-based registration and voting system
for a Beauty Pageant, specifically for Queen Esther Beauty Pageant that can be
extended in the future. There are different kinds of electronic registration
and voting system in the world, but this project targets to do web based
e-registration and e-voting system. The system contains modules that can handle
