NNPC/Renaissance JV Opens Applications for 2026 Enterprise Development Programme

Young entrepreneurs across the Niger Delta have a fresh opportunity to turn their business ideas into thriving enterprises as Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), has announced the commencement of applications for the 2026 Enterprise Development Programme.

The initiative, formerly known as the NNPC/SPDC JV LiveWIRE Programme, is designed to empower young people through entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and access to business funding. The programme aims to equip participants with the knowledge and resources needed to establish and sustainably grow successful businesses.

According to the organisers, the programme targets individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who possess innovative and viable business ideas. Successful applicants will undergo structured entrepreneurship training through the Successful Business Owner Course, where they will learn practical business planning, management, and growth strategies.

One of the major attractions of the programme is the opportunity for outstanding participants to receive startup grant support. In addition, beneficiaries may gain access to third-party funding opportunities through financial institutions, non-governmental organisations, and other investment partners. Participants will also benefit from mentorship designed to guide them as they launch and expand their enterprises.

The programme is open to indigenes of Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Edo States. Applicants must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a university degree, have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme where applicable, and must not currently be engaged in paid employment. Candidates should also demonstrate a genuine interest in entrepreneurship and should not have operated a business for more than three years.

Business ideas are welcome from several sectors, including agriculture, clean energy solutions, oil and gas, social enterprise, manufacturing, retail and wholesale, as well as information and communication technology (ICT) and telecommunications.

This programme presents a valuable opportunity for young entrepreneurs seeking training, mentorship, and financial support to transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses. Interested applicants are encouraged to complete their applications before the stated deadline.
