Background of the study

This application is an Online photo Gallery, where pictures of events and personalities will be viewed through a gallery, Online photo gallery to show case events and personalities; Photo Gallery is a photo organizer that you can use to view, manage, share, and edit digital photos and videos.

Abstract

This application is an Online photo Gallery, where pictures of events and personalities will be viewed through a gallery. Is an application that makes it easy, and provides management, tagging, and searching capabilities for digital photos. It provides an image viewer, and a photo import tool. This allows sharing of photos by uploading them to the internet. The application will provides users the ability to organize digital photo collections of events and personalities in its Gallery view, by adding titles, rating, captions, and custom metadata tags to photos. It will also aid researchers to easily search for photos of events and personalities across the global world.

1.1       Statement of the Problem

From research and investigations, it has been observed that photo gallery of events and personalities are not yet up to global standards. The problems include:

1. The time consuming in getting photographic views and details of events and personalities.
2. The risk associated with publicising events and personalities with the manual system.
3. The stress of door-to-door marketing and registration of event.

1.2    Objective of the Study

The objective is to develop software that will achieve the following:

1. Show case the photographic views and details of personalities and selected events
2. Minimize the risk associated with publicizing events
3. Introduce a new aspect in photo journalism
4. Expand global acceptance of multi-media, in Nigeria

1.3    Significant of the Study

With the trends and innovation in events today and also to keep the history of personalities, we wish to ensure that online photo gallery and other form of media will be more relevant, and people will spend less time to unveil the history of events and personalities in Nigeria. This work will improve efficiency in the world of records

1.4    Scope of the Study

This study will focused on global photography as photo gallery, to show case events, and personalities, keeping its records and documentation for future event promotion or purpose.

1.5    Limitation of Study

This project work will be focus in Nigeria as a country. Though the time need to develop a befitting system is not enough, and the project needs huge finance. Besides, this research work is an online application so time and finance has been the challenge.

1.6    Definition of Terms

MANAGER, this is the person in charge of planning and execution of the events THE CAMERAS, this are the machines used in executing event. This includes both recoding and taking of still pictures.
