ABSTRACT
Online Car Hiring System is a service
in which customers arrive to request the hire of a rental car. It is more
convenient than carrying the cost of owning and maintaining the unit. A car
rental or car hire agency is a company that rents automobiles for short period
of time for a fee whether in a few hours or a few days or week. It is an
extended form of a rental shop, often organized with numerous local branches
(which allow a user to return a vehicle to a different location), and primarily
'located near airports or busy city areas and often complemented by a website
allowing online reservations. Car rental agencies primarily serve people who
have a car that is temporarily out Of reach or out of service, for example
travelers who are out of town or owners of damaged or destroyed vehicles who
are awaiting repair or insurance compensation. Because of the variety of sizes
of their vehicles, car rental agencies may also serve the self-moving industry
needs, by renting vans or trucks, and in certain markets other types of
vehicles such as motorcycles or scooters may also be offered. In short, It is a
system design specially for large, premium and small car rental business. The
car rental system provides complete functionality of listing and booking car.
OBJECTIVES
1. To transform the manual process of
hiring car to a computerize system.
2. To validate the Rental Car system
using user satisfaction test.
3. To produce the documentation such
as Software Requirement Specification (SRS), Software Design Description (SDD)
as system development references.
SCOPE
The system will be done according to
the scope of Online Car Rental System (OCRS) which is state as below:
System:
1. Provide car catalog for users as an
alternative for them to select car if they want to choose car by their own.
2. Allows admin to search user
information from the database based on the user's ID card number or their name.
3. Allow admin to add a new car.
4. Allow admin to manage booking of
cars.
5. Allow admin to given car on rent to
the proper and legal customers.
6. Allow the user to view feedback and
enquires posted by users.
User
1. All authorized users can access the
system.
2. Allow the user to view information
of available car.
3. Allow the user to enquire about the
car.
4. Allow the user to book a car.
5. Allow the user to easily get the
car on rent.
6. Also allow the user to give
feedback.
