N-Power - Some Applicants Register their Last Name with their BVN

N-Power have discovered over 500 applicants who registered their Last Name with their BVN number, N-Power had earlier advice applicants to read Before You Apply to avoid unmatched names and being disqualified from the programme, some of the N-Power 2016 beneficiaries has so many issues with backlogs of their monthly stipends because of wrong BVN numbers and unmatched names.

See example: Last Name: “01234567891” instead of “Jones”

N-Power had earlier announced that BVN validation is ongoing for all applicants which means once the validation is completed, applicants will receive SMS to either proceed with their assessment stage or not, this measure has been put in place to avoid the issues that the 2016 N-Power beneficiaries are having with their payment, some are yet to received their 5months stipends because of unmatched records, so we must commend N-Power for doing a good job.

What is BVN Validation?

BVN validation means to check your personal records used when registering on the N-Power portal e.g. is First Name, Middle Name and Last Name if it matches with your BVN records, see example below:

If your names are arrange like this for instance when registering on the N-Power portal, then no need to panic, you will receive SMS from N-Power to proceed to the assessment stage, but if you arrange your names scattered, see example below.

If you arrange your names like the example above then you will be disqualified from the programme, which means that is the end of your journey in N-Power because you wouldn’t be able to proceed to the assessment stage. N-Power has earlier announced that N-Agro assessment test has NOT commenced yet, and that applicants who applied for N-Agro shouldn’t panic, a date will be communicated shortly.According to N-Power, the aim of BVN validation is to avoid the current situation faced by some of the existing beneficiaries who have had issues with payment. Once again, when the BVN validation is done, a TEXT MESSAGE will be sent to your phone numbers to either proceed to the assessment test phase or not.
