Crystal Palace’s decision to sack manager Neil Warnock on Saturday morning is said to have no effect on the possible loan move for Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo, according to reports in the Daily Star.
Warnock was relieved of his duties on Saturday and the decision came just days after the club had shown an interest in Arsenal striker, Sanogo.
The young striker was signed from Auxerre in the summer of 2013, but has failed to really prove his worth during his time at the Emirates and this season has been no easier for him.
Four goals in one game in pre-season left many thinking the striker could finally realise his potential, but in Olivier Giroud’s absence the forward failed to hit the ground running with Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck preferred ahead of him.
The 21-year-old suffered a hamstring injury a while ago and upon his return he has failed to break the into the team, meaning Crystal Palace have been looking at bringing him in on a loan deal during January.
Despite Warnock’s dismissal, that move is still possible regardless of Crystal Palace’s next managerial appointment.
Yaya Sanogo
has a pass accuracy of 62% in the league this season
